Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer for me and I love summer--the heat, the barbeque, the pool, being outside, gardening, traveling and visiting with friends and family--so bring it on and make it last!
Isabel loves the water, so on Memorial Day Chris and Nicole took her in the spa. The weather was chilly so they didn't let her stay too long, but she cried like a baby (hee hee) when we took her out.

We had her sleep over one night while Nicole was in the hospital with kidney stones. What an angel. Nicole ended up having two procedures (surgery like) and a stent for two weeks. They removed the stent today and she passed one piece of the stone they had lasered. We are hoping she will feel better soon. It has been going on for two months.
Craig and I had a fun Memorial Day hike with our friends the Dyers. We were to hike down from the meadows at the top of Mt. Rose to Davis Creek campground, about two hours were told. Six hours later after losing the trail in the snow, fording a river on logs, inching our way through thickets of willows, and climbing down washed out boulder gulleys we found ourselves about a mile south of the campground where we had left the car. We walked up the road in the rain feeling like we had conquered Mt. Everest. It was a super fun day and a great feeling of accomplishment. We want to try another hike before summer is over.
